Warm tips for security personnel on epidemic prevention and control!
Novel Coronavirus Pneumonia
Epidemic Prevention and Control
As of February 3 at 17:00, the confirmed cases of COVID-19 have reached 17,332, with 361 deaths. In the face of the increasingly severe epidemic situation, security personnel have been at the forefront of the fight against the epidemic, building a series of safety defenses. While fulfilling their responsibilities, they also face a higher risk of infection than the average person. This article summarizes the key points of epidemic prevention from the perspectives of individuals, cafeterias, dormitories, and work, hoping that security personnel will pay attention to personal safety while fighting the epidemic, ultimately leading to clearer skies and brighter days!!!
Personal Protection
1. Wash Hands Frequently
Hands come into contact with various pathogens, and coronaviruses are no exception. Handwashing is one of the clear preventive measures. It is recommended to use soap and running water, scrubbing hands for no less than 20 seconds. If it is inconvenient to find clean water and soap when going out, you can use hand sanitizer containing 70-80% alcohol.
2. Wear Masks Properly
It is recommended to avoid going to crowded places as much as possible and to avoid close contact with anyone showing flu symptoms. If it is necessary to go, wear a mask properly to reduce the risk of infection.
3. Avoid Contact with Wild Animals
Try to avoid contact with wild animals, and do not hunt, sell, or purchase wild game.
4. Pay Attention to Personal Hygiene
When sneezing or coughing, do not cover your mouth and nose directly with your hands. The correct method is to use a tissue or cover your mouth and nose with a bent elbow. Dispose of used tissues in a hazardous waste bin and then thoroughly wash your hands.
5. Be Alert to Abnormal Symptoms and Seek Medical Attention Promptly
If you experience the following symptoms, please seek medical attention promptly:
1. Coughing, producing phlegm;
2. Fever (body temperature > 38°);
3. Difficulty breathing during daily activities or rest;
4. Pain when taking deep breaths;
5. Rapid heartbeat;
6. Sudden deterioration of condition after improvement from a cold or flu;
7. Chills;
Note: If you feel unwell, please stay at home and do not go out for leisure. If you experience the above symptoms, wear a mask and go to the hospital promptly. If it is inconvenient to go to the hospital, you can contact a local regular public hospital and inform the doctor of your symptoms.
Cafeteria Protection
1. Change the Meal Service Method. Collective dining should be avoided as much as possible. It is encouraged to use takeout boxes, meal delivery, or simple meals to increase the dispersion of diners. If collective dining is adopted, it should be done in batches, with staggered dining times, and masks should only be removed at the last moment before sitting down to eat, avoiding crowding, face-to-face dining, and talking while eating.
2. Strengthen Personnel Management. Conduct a survey of all staff and manage them according to epidemic prevention and control requirements. Strengthen training on epidemic prevention knowledge for staff, and prohibit those with symptoms such as colds, fever, cough, or diarrhea from working.
3. Ensure Environmental Hygiene. Clean and disinfect the cafeteria and surrounding environment, ensuring daily disinfection of the cafeteria area, and avoid mixing cleaning and disinfection tools from different areas.
4. Control Raw Material Quality. Strictly implement food procurement inspection and documentation requirements, prohibit the raising of livestock and pets in food processing areas, and prohibit the processing of live poultry and wild animals.
5. Standardize Operational Behavior. Maintain personal hygiene among staff, and wear masks throughout the food processing. Store food separately for raw and cooked items, and ensure food is thoroughly cooked. 6. Ensure the Disinfection of Dining Utensils. Clean and disinfect dining utensils as required, and store them in a closed facility for cleanliness. Strengthen the management of detergents and disinfectants to prevent misuse.
Dormitory Protection
1. Enhance health awareness; moderate exercise, go to bed early and wake up early, and avoid staying up late to improve immunity.
2. Maintain good personal hygiene habits; cover your mouth and nose with a tissue when coughing or sneezing, wash hands thoroughly and frequently, and avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth with dirty hands.
3. Ensure good ventilation and cleanliness in the living space (ventilate three times a day, each time for half an hour).
4. If there are suspected symptoms of pneumonia such as fever, cough, or sneezing in the dormitory, ensure the patient seeks medical attention promptly and isolate close contacts.
5. Regularly clean and disinfect shared items and public contact surfaces in the dormitory.
Work Protection
1. Security personnel and other staff must wear masks while working and maintain a safe distance from others (disposable medical masks should be changed every 4 hours of continuous wear, and changed immediately if contaminated or wet).
2. Maintain air circulation in public places. Ensure that the air conditioning system or exhaust fan is functioning properly, regularly clean the air conditioning filters, and enhance window ventilation.
3. Keep the environment clean and tidy, and promptly dispose of garbage.
4. Arrange work and rest schedules for personnel to ensure security personnel get enough rest.
5. Increase the frequency of cleaning and disinfection in public areas as required, and maintain records and signage for cleaning and disinfection work.
6. Project leaders should monitor the health of project members. If suspected cases of pneumonia caused by the novel coronavirus are found, send them to the hospital promptly and report to the company.
